Spring 2008 Fashion Trends

1. Dresses – For over a year now, dresses have been a major fashion force, and it won’t be any different this season. With so many silhouettes to choose from, you are bound to find one to fit your shape and size. Right now, it’s all about the waist, so try something that cinches that gives you that hour-glass shape. Or, by adding a big belt to any style dress you can cinch your waist perfectly.

2. Wooden Heeded Shoes – This accessory trend is oh so hot for spring and it’s a look that you can take well into summer. It is a chunkier look, so don’t pair it with other powering accessories.

3. Bright Yellow – This color is the color of the season and is shown throughout the fashion magazines in clothing, jewelry, footwear and handbags. If it’s not your color, just try adding a splash of it into your look.

4. Neutrals – If this season’s bright colors aren’t your forte, you are in luck. Neutrals are equally important for spring. Head-to-toe ensembles of the color are incredibly chic and work for day or night.

5. Transparent Jacket – A light jacket for spring is always a must, and a transparent jacket is perfect for the cooler nights and slightly warmer days. It’s a fresh look that can instantly update your wardrobe. Also, it’s a great alternative to have from for a trench coat.

6. Ruffles – The frilly and romantic look of a ruffled blouse can liven up any look. Pairing one with the classic Pencil skirts is a great look. Just make sure to not go over the top with this trend. Too many frills equal an unpolished, over-the-top look that won’t impress.

7. Oversized Bows – Whether on a dress, shirt, clutch or in your hair, bows are a pretty and easy way to make your spring dressing season trend friendly. It also adds that touch of femininity without going overboard.

8. Floral Prints – This print is great because so much can be done with it. Whether you pick a blouse with tiny petals or exaggerated blooms, florals can add an edge. If you are really daring, mix it with other patterns to make a statement all your own. Otherwise, make it a stand out piece and pair it with a sleek pair of pants or shorts.

9. Geometric Necklaces – Big necklaces are in this season and they are being shown in cool, unique shapes. It’s a great accessory to add if you need to add a little extra oomph to an outfit. The chunkier, the better!

10. Bermudas – This is a great short if you have the right shape! It’s easy, comfortable, and can be put together in so many ways. A cuffed pair makes it wearable for a more formal event.

What’s the easiest way to update your wardrobe? Just add color! You can’t go wrong with all the bright colors being shown in stores and it will give your look the freshness it needs to start off the warm months. The most important thing to remember about this season is to have fun and use the trends that work for yo
